Centre of Technical Excellence (CENTEXS) Lundu

Axis towards Central Courtyard

CENTEXS Lundu is another training institution beside CENTEXS Kuching which provides technical on vocational education and training that act as an important catalyst for more skilled manpower to spur Digital Transformation of Sarawak.

Located on 43 acres site in Lundu along Pan Borneo Highway approximately 80 km from Kuching City.     

Administration / Resources / Training Block

Building blocks are arranged to form a series of Courtyards for outdoor activities and performance from public (Administration / Resources / Training block and Multi- Purpose Hall) to semi-public (Faculties A & B) and gradually toward private (Male & Female Hostels). As a result, Central Courtyard and Courtyards within Faculties A and B from an interesting Chinese character ‘品’ which means ‘Excellence’.

The slight curvature of Administration / Resources / Training block provide a warm welcome gesture with ‘Open Arm’ and orange corporate colour of CENTEXS on front facade attract and provide a landmark as one approach the site with magnificient Mt. Gading as backdrop along Pan-Borneo Highway. Visual approach play a vital impression from entrance lobby of Administration / Resources / Training block with vista view of the Boulevard and terminated by Canteen with Male and Female Hostels on both sides.

Safe learning environment ensured with perimeter traffic control around buildings

The existing land-form enable the Entrance Lobby to be approached from Level 2 of Administration / Resources / Training Block with Level 1 serve as semi- basement parking within the building and provide linkage to remaining blocks. In addition, traffic circulation are surrounded along the perimeter of the building blocks in order to provide a safe and peaceful environment for learning and training.
