Vermont Suites

The site layout is a result of an irregular site and challenging terrain

Vermont Suites are located at Jalan Stutong; the 3.81-acre site allows the apartments to be laid out with several frontages and views of Kuching city, the airport and internal courtyards.

The internal courtyards are elevated to house the car parking below

The placement of the blocks creates a shared space for gardens, social interaction, and recreation

The main block is gently curved with two ‘finger’ blocks formed to suit the irregular boundary lines, which creates an interesting building form while enabling the blocks to enclose an elevated planted courtyard.

The landscaping elements echo the curved lines of the main block

Amidst this oasis are a variety of apartment types which provides spacious living and modern comfort, ranging from 2 to 3-bedroom apartments to spacious 2 & 3-storey penthouses.  This 6-8 storey development has 100 residential units with facilities such as a pool, gym, sauna and outdoor entertainment spaces. Car parking is on-ground with easy access to stairs and lifts, mostly via landscaped gardens and corridors.

Circulation between floors and blocks are mostly through landscaped gardens and corridors

The entry guardhouse is the first tier of security as well as an expressive entrance statement

A guarded entrance at the extreme northern corner of the site is the first tier of security as well as an expressive entrance statement.  Lush shady landscaped plantings flank both sides of the access road to generate a linear green boulevard approach. The building design is expressed in a playful contrast of solid and voids, of wall planes and landscape to ensure external and internal views.
