DUN Sarawak — Proposed Renovation of Café, Media Room & Cafeteria

IDC Architects (IDCA) was commissioned by the Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak (DUNS) through the Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) to renovate several spaces within the DUN, including a café, media room, gallery spaces, and a staff cafeteria. This project aimed to create functional and welcoming interiors that would cater to a variety of users, ranging from the general public to DUN staff. Among the key spaces renovated were the Level 2 café and media room, both inspired by the natural landscapes and cultural heritage of Sarawak. Additionally, the Level 1 staff cafeteria was redesigned to maximise the flow of natural light and provide a refreshing environment, offering respite from the busy DUN sessions.
