A significant precinct of Kuching recorded in sketches, personal recollections and stories transcribed from conversations with Si Yong.

Led by Associate Professor Eric Chen, sixteen second-year architecture students from Chung Yuan Christian University are in Kuching for a 24-day internship. They are working in two groups: ‘Kenyalang Park Collective Memories’—conducting a field survey with the local community—and ‘Narratives of Soil’—exploring interdisciplinary research with Wendy Teo Atelier and Borneo Laboratory.

Inspired by Meiwei Kappa’s 'Toilet Difference’, XiHeSan recounts her childhood memories of using the pit latrine and the practicality that surrounds it in this first series of four articles.

‘The Cloud Pavilion’ is an installation by INTODESIGN Lab, presented in conjunction with World Architecture Day and as part of the PAMSC Design Festival 2023.
