History of Kenyalang Park
Kenyalang Park community's history began in the early 20th century with the Siang Hak Huat Farm, owned by Ng Bak Choon and his family. Following its sale to the Borneo Development Corporation, Kenyalang Park developed into a vibrant area with residential, commercial, and cultural spaces, highlighted by the bustling Kenyalang Theatre.

Kenyalang Park, Kuching’s first satellite town with over 50 years of history, is well-known to locals. Students from Chung Yuan University in Taiwan, with support from local leaders, volunteers, and architects, organised the 'Kenyalang Park Collective Memories' exhibition to explore how past memories can inform future developments.
